Founder

James Nicholas is the Founder and Managing Member of GenesisPoint LLC, a boutique financial services firm providing independent corporate governance.  Prior to establishing GenesisPoint LLC, Mr. Nicholas was a Managing Director with UBS Asset Management and Global Head of Operational Due Diligence for Hedge Fund Solutions (“HFS”).  While at HFS, Mr. Nicholas was a member of the Investment Committee, Manager Approval Committee, and Manager Review Committee.  Prior to HFS, Mr. Nicholas was the Global Controller at UBS O'Connor, a multi-strategy hedge fund. Mr. Nicholas started his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Mr. Nicholas holds a B.S. from Trinity University (1993).  He is a Certified Public Accountant.  He is licensed by the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA) under the Directors Registration and Licensing Law of 2014.
